The Eco Chandelier

A project envisaged by Eco Group member Sandy Firth, in an attempt to aesthetically improve the main Foyer of Stromness Academy using only recycled or eco-friendly materials. The first coat of silver paint was applied in February. The project is now progressing very quickly and on the fifth of June the main decoration of the chandelier, involving a large bag of bottle tops and three tubes of superglue, began. You can see photos of the entire development on the photos page.

The Worm Farm

The Eco Group is currently intending to purchase a worm bin in order to make better use of leftovers of the school's kitchen by turning them into good quality soil.
